Celebrating Independence Day

Independence Day in the USA is the 4th July which is a Monday.

Pat has already commenced preparing the meal for what is a very worrying time for many Americans who grew up in the 70’s.

FaceTime calls have been long and numerous with her cousins who for the most part live in California.

Blipfoto is not the forum to discuss the tremors going through American Society following the recent pronouncements made by the Supreme Court.

Today’s Blipfoto shows a detail of our Celebration Tree festooned for Independence Day.

The tree is our Christmas Tree. In more normal times it was packed away on 12th Night.

We are not in normal times. The tree has been lit continuously since March 13, 2020. The start of the Covid pandemic. As different festivals come around the tree is redecorated appropriately.

It will be switched off when Covid is over. I doubt that will be any time soon.
