Nesting Robin

A while back I Blipped a phone pic of a crazy American Robin (Turdus migratorius) who decided to construct a nest in a hanging pot of pansies. If you look closely, you can see her eye facing left. I had to sneak into the kitchen to avoid disturbing her so I could grab this shot.

This pot hangs off the awning over our kitchen windows. It funnels rain right into the nest...but fortunately (for her), we've not had any real downpours.

She's been incubating for nearly 2 weeks now and those four little baby blue eggs should be hatching any day now.
~
After they hatch, I will set up a camera on a tripod and use a remote control to trip the shutter so as to disturb her as little as possible.
~
It's Tiny Tuesday.....she's not the most tiny of birds but compared to an eagle....she's tiny. The eggs under her certainly are as they are about the size of a grape.

Best in Large.
