Never, ever …

…. absolutely never, loop the dog lead round your fingers! Not even when you’re sitting on the grass, relaxing in the sunshine. And don’t absent mindedly fiddle with the lead.

With Ruth at her Access Adventure kite flying day at a park on Poole Harbour seafront. Lucky for me that it happened when and where it did. Five minutes from Poole Hospital and almost five hours before the event ended. Ruth had a great time, Jamie got a taxi to come and look after Meg, I was back, finger straightened in time for the end of things when Jamie got to have a go too.

For the record it was just a dislocation. It did hurt and still does. The possibility of ligament damage means there’s a risk of repeat. Having it taped to the next finger and splinted is a flaming nusiance! I refer you to my opening line :-/
