Greek Festival

Friday June 24
Some housework in the morning, then an early afternoon bike ride. In the evening we went to the Greek Festival at the Greek Orthodox Church in Finneytown. This is an annual event, but this was the first time since Covid. Last year, if you wanted, you could order food and drive through and pick it up, but we didn’t bother. Most of the food and dancing is outside in the large parking space at the back of the church, with a big tent set up with tables and chairs for eating under some shade - it was still pretty hot even at 7.30 in the evening. Inside they have some shopping stalls, and their extremely popular Greek pastries. It runs Friday evening through Sunday evening, and is a huge event. In the past they’ve had a small childrens fun fair set up in one corner, but they didn’t have that this year - whether that was so they could fit in more food and drink stalls, I don’t know! Always a fun event!
