Now, as I see it......

Το Παλιό Φαρμακείο

With apologies to anyone who speaks Greek and can see through my title; blame Google Translate.  This is the old pharmacy; a building up in the old village which was still being used as a pharmacy up until around ten years ago.  I remember going in for a look around once; it was full of local people getting their prescriptions but the interior was like a pharmacy from the 19th century; all drawers, bottles and dark wood counters.  Although it hasn't been used for several years the community is clearly proud of it; it is reasonably well maintained and illuminated at night.  I just hope that the interior is still intact and is preserved for the future.

Another beach day.  We walked over the rocky path again rather than get the taxi boat; you feel you've earned your sunbed and swim.  A day off the food too; it's very easy to eat far too much so we snacked on a toasted sandwich and cheese pie at lunchtime and decided not to eat this evening.  Instead, we wandered down to our go-to bar and ended up having a long and good conversation with a Danish couple before heading back to the room for a few crisps and nuts.  Tempting as the food is, it's nice to have the odd day when we don't have much.
