THE SILLY SATURDAY GANG HELPS WITH THE SHOPPING

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We wondered why Mrs. HCB had got up so early and then realised that she was going shopping, so we all jumped into the coolbox before she noticed.  Mr. HCB said he was willing to come too, but we know that Mrs. HCB would rather do the shopping on her own - she says that he fusses around too much.  We’re not sure that’s true - he is such a lovely man - but he didn’t insist and we think it’s because, like a lot of men, he just doesn’t like shopping.

First of all Mrs. HCB went to Waitrose to collect a few things and then on to the Aldi store just outside Royal Wootton Bassett.  We all thought she would be taking us in with her when she saw us in the coolbox, but sadly that didn’t happen, so we had to amuse ourselves until she got back - how mean is that? 

However, we don't bear grudges, so once she was back at the car we helped her to unload the trolley and then we were on our way home.  We did notice that she had ten items on her shopping list but if you could have seen the trolley-full she brought out, you would have been amazed - now how silly is that?  We think that Admirer would have laughed and maybe she even did the same! 

Of course, shopping doesn’t finish there because when you get home it all has to be put away, so we clambered up onto the worktop and sorted out a few things.  Mr. HCB did help to put the stuff away and we were pleased to note that there was chocolate - no doubt you can see that Hoggy is taking care of that!

You might be wondering what Donald is doing still clutching hold of his American flag - well, he said that now he lives with us, he doesn’t get to wave it much, so he was making sure that it was well used after last week’s celebrations and he said he does love it.

We do hope you all have a good weekend - no doubt there will be barbecues although it’s a bit cloudy here today - but stay safe and have a good time with your family and friends.
