I could have been walking up a hillside in Italy

… or Greece, or France.  I haven’t walked this path for a while and I was amazed to see so many coloured sheep in the two fields that go up the hillside.  Maybe a 100 in total.  There are usually one or two mixed in with a flock of white sheep but not this many.

A good morning for light coming through delicate grasses in Ayton Woods and lots of Meadow Brown butterflies where the thistle grow higher up the hillside.  Also Ringlets but not so easy to photograph.  (Taken with my 7 artisans lens, so slightly soft.)
