Banded Display

We set off at quite a leisurely time of mid morning for our. trip to Scotland. But as we weren't heading for the Highlands we didn't need an early start. 

We planned a lunch stop off at WWT Caerlaverock, and a quick wander round the reserve. We weren't expecting too much bird life but there was plenty of insect life. This is my first image of a banded demoiselle damselfly this year. The extra is one of the reserve from one of the hides.

We then made our way to the cottage where we're staying, not far from Castle Douglas.
