MEN AT WORK

Well it was fun and games last night trying to set up the camera on my new tripod, but with thanks to G, we got there.  Then the moon had not appeared before we went to bed so I abandoned the idea.

HOWEVER as we switched the lights out Hubby decided to look out the window and he could see the rays from The Moon behind a huge dark cloud, just when it would have been perfect over Hest Bank as it was very low in the sky.  About 10 minutes later the moon had risen and we could see it so I dashed out onto the  Balcony with the camera, still set up on the tripod and took the shots you can see in Extras.  Not brilliant because of course the best one would have been when it was behind  a cloud - which is typical for me!!!  Still  they're not too bad and you can see how orange it was.

Apparently it's called a Buck Moon.  Full moons' nicknames typically relate to something from that time of year. July's full moon is called the “Buck Moon” because this is when Bucks' new antlers have grown more sizeable after starting late in the spring.

After all that excitement I just didn't sleep well unfortunately.  So just a housework type of day today whilst Hubby and G got to re-treating the garden shed.

Nothing much else to say really, so I will see you all tomorrow.  Do take care and stay safe.
