Willow Emerald, Darwin Wasp

Much cooler today. Ollie dog and I went into town on an errand this morning and it was quite pleasant being out and about.

A willow emerald damselfly posed nicely for me and while I was looking for the tiny black and white bee on the thistles I photographed an ichneumon wasp. There are about 100,000 species, many of which have not yet been described, so they're a bit difficult to identify. Mine could be Odontocolon dentipes. Its hosts are longhorn beetle larvae and pupae and I see plenty of the adult longhorns in this area.
