Y llwybr lawr i'r môr

Y llwybr lawr i'r môr ~ The path down to the sea

“I do not know what I may appear to the world; but to myself I seem to have been only like a boy playing on the seashore, and diverting myself now and then finding a smoother pebble or a prettier shell than ordinary, whilst the great ocean of truth lay all undiscovered before me.”
—Isaac Newton

Aethon ni ar y trên i Llanusyllt. Aeth popeth i gynllun - bron. Roedd y trên ar amser o Gaerdydd i Gaerfyrddin a hefyd o Gaerfyrddin i Lanusyllt. Yn anffodus does dim safle bws ar yr orsaf ac roedd rhaid i ni ymdrech i fyny'r bryn i ffeindio bws. Roedd y tywydd yn boeth ac roedden ni'n llusgo cesys dillad. Yn y pen draw ar ôl ffeindio bws a thacsi cyrhaeddon ni'r gwesty. Wedi blino a poeth ond hapus i fod yno.

Ar ôl cyfle i ymolchi ac i'n newid ein dillad, aethon ni allan. Roedd y derbynnydd yn y  gwesty wedi argymell llwybr tawel i'r môr. Cerddon ni i lawr i'r môr ac eisteddon ni ar y traeth am dipyn yn mwynhau'r haul a'r olygfa'r môr. Yn hwyr cerddon ni i'r dre i chwilio am rywle i fwyta. Aethon ni i'r 'Captain's Table' lle cawson ni wedi bwyta o'r blaen. Roedd y bwyd yn dda iawn eto.

Ar ôl cinio cerddon ni i fyny'r bryn yn ôl i'r gwesty. Roedd y tywydd dal yn braf iawn. Felly eisteddon ni y tu allan ar y feranda gyda diodydd, yn edrych dros y dref a'r traeth. Mae'n teimlo ein bod ni wedi bod yma am amser hir yn barod.

We went by train to Saundersfoot. Everything went to plan - almost. The train was on time from Cardiff to Carmarthen and also from Carmarthen to Saundersfoot. Unfortunately there is no bus stop at the station and we had to struggle up the hill to find a bus. The weather was hot and we were dragging suitcases. Eventually after finding a bus and a taxi we arrived at the hotel. Tired and hot but happy to be there.

After a chance to wash and change our clothes, we went out. The receptionist at the hotel had recommended a quiet route to the sea. We walked down to the sea and sat on the beach for a while enjoying the sun and the sea view. In the evening we walked into town to look for somewhere to eat. We went to the 'Captain's Table' where we had eaten before. The food was again very good.

After dinner we walked up the hill back to the hotel. The weather was still very nice. So we sat outside on the veranda with drinks, overlooking the town and the beach. It feels like we've been here a long time already.
