A very damp Bluetit

After yesterday’s record breaking temperatures, the heatwave was broken in the early morning by a few claps of thunder and a little rain which brought the temperature down for a while but it soon hiked up again amd stayed comfortable in the mid-20s so we headed off to our favourite beach again, Godrevy.  When we got there, there was quite a strong sea haar away to St. Ives, but that soon disappeared and we had a very pleasurable afternoon sitting in the sunshine, reading and even had a quick dip.  We walked up to Mutton Cove in the hope of seeing some Seals, but there were none and in the late afternoon it became very misty again.

Extra:  so pleased to see a Jay in the garden this morning, it doesn’t seem brave enough to share the birdfeeders with our lovely nutcase, the young Woodpecker, but enjoys picking up the leftovers on the lawn.
