Mate! Mate! Mate!

Gerald was enjoying a delightful nap when suddenly, in burst Keith.

Mate, mate, mate... oh, mate, have you heard the latest?! They voted to remove freedom of movement and now they're queueing up at Dover because they need their passports individually stamped by Pierre and Cuthbert! They must be so happy to have succeeded in stopping all that nasty movement stuff.

Gerald wasn't really interested. As a pigeon his migratory aspirations are not controlled by the reckless savagery of mendacious politicians focused only on their own tax affairs. He can fly anywhere he likes... Lucky Gerald.

Ok, not a great photo, but I could see Keith was playing up and grabbed the camera, which of course had yesterday's long lens still fitted, and took the shot. The sky pretty much is that blank textureless meh today, and the temperatures have dropped to around normal.

I'm smiling at yesterday's picture, which has grabbed more attention on Twitter than anything I've posted this year. What with that and the hits on the blog post it's going to be a tough act to follow. Also from yesterday is the extra, which was two reed buntings sat side by side but too far away from each other to be a good shot.

Have a lovely weekend, folks.
