Dunham Massey

Thursday July 21
A largely cloudy day, but according to the forecast it would be dry, so we took Bernard for an outing to the nearby National Trust property of Dunham Massey, always a favourite for Bernard, and us come to that! We explored the flower gardens first, some things looking a little wilted after the recent heat, but still beautiful. Then we went to the cafe, and Roger and I treated ourselves to a cream tea, while Bernard just had an ice cream. We then walked through the deer park, where the deer don’t seem too perturbed by these humans wandering around! Bernard said he wasn’t feeling very hungry, so wouldn’t join us for dinner, so we decided to go out and have some Indian food
