.... is where the flowers are!

An uneventful journey back to Wales.   It was nice to spend some time at my Mum's.  We'll be back and Jamie will be in better health next time.  What with my slowly recovering but easily aggravated finger, Jamie's problem with nausea and ... yes and we've noticed Meg limping on and off while we were in London, things have been a little tricky.   We think Meg has probably twisted a joint as she's intermittently lame on a front lower leg.   She's such a lively dog when aroused, especially when chasing Bella, twisting and turning, it's easy to see how it might have happened.   I think some enforced rest at home should help otherwise we'll be off to the vets.

We left London in bright sunshine, 27.5C so the car said.   By Birmingham we were mostly under cloud and soon after crossing the border the rain began.  The roadside puddles and the mountain streams made it clear there had been significant rain, something borne out by the plant trays in the garden.   We needed this, the gardens and allotments here will be enhanced by it.   It was dry when we got back and just 16C.   Bliss!!

Kohleria 'Jardin de Monet'.   I think it's the nicest Kohleria I grow, a bit more subtle than the bright red ones!
