Coming in to Land

Our last full day on this fascinating trip to Ireland's Wild Atlantic Coast.  The night had been very wet and we awoke to rain lashing against the van.  Fortunately most rain cleared away as the morning progressed.  We visited some caves which had benefitted from the wet night with waterfalls now running.  At the same site there was a Bird of Prey centre so we also watched the display, including this Barn Owl. Despite taking hundreds of images, few are worth keeping as it was still very difficult to get the bird in the frame.

We followed this with a visit to another Abbey.  These places all have long histories and are ruins but the graveyards are well tended and still used.

We have now started on our journey home, staying overnight up on some moors, having travelled some of the way inland. We board a ferry tomorrow evening from Rosslare over to Fishguard and then the final leg Tuesday morning.
