Like Water Off a Duck's Back

Today's outing took us to Westlake Pond, a little neighborhood feature with a dirt path, a small playground, lots of lawn, and lots of birds. I love the patterns of duck feathers. The birds are in constant motion with all their grooming, both in and out of the water.

Now that I've been using a walker, it's very interesting to me what, if any, accommodations are made for the disabled. Paths are often lumpy, they end in random places, sidewalks buckle, driveways work at a slant that was never noticed before, curbs are unbridgeable. As I said, interesting.
