From the moor

Shona and I had a walk (almost 5 miles) up the assault course ( still some trees from
Arwen blocking the track) carriage drive and over the moor. We’ve not seen each other for ages as she had to go London to help her son. They have a 2 year old and the unborn baby threatened to arrive way too early so the mother was hospitalised. Then the baby was premature and kept in hospital. All very worrying and tiring for all. But all is well now and she’s enjoying being at home.

Mr C went to pick some rasps at the fruit farm. They were all very small as there has not been enough rain and it looks like they are giving up as they had far less growing this year.

Mr C is very keen on the West Africa adventure. However it involves Ghana as well as Benin and Togo and it requires our passports physically sent for the visa which can take 3 weeks. We are away so often it will be hard to get it sorted. Lots of countries are making it hard for UK visitors nowadays and who can blame them. Jo even had to go in person to London to get one for India - it was all done by E-visas when we went - but as Priti Vacant (John Crace’s title for our current Home Secretary) caused problems for Indians coming here, they have reciprocated.
