Hoverfly on Echinops.

I knew there would be repercussions from yesterday’s walk but thankfully they could have been worse.  Nevertheless yet another sofa day seemed the sensible option. Clothes got washed and some bits of weeding done so I wasn’t totally idle.  I had meant to go to Leven to photograph but I went into the garden instead. It was sunny and insects were out in force.  One of the echinops was in flower at last and hoverflies were making the most of it.  I do love their long hairy tongues.
