A day in the life

Bricklaying

The title speaks for itself. Some bricklayers were challenging themself, having been given free hands to create or perhaps was told to do it this way. I’m amazed by the skill and inventiveness. The house is in the old city of Lund in Skåne-Sweden and was built in the late 17-hundreds. It was the house where many of the students at the univeesity lived and soon got the nickname ”Locus Peccatorum” -The house of sins.
The decorative bricklaying was added as late as 1906 though.

Homewards tomorrow after a lovely stay at the home of my good friend Elaine, who lived here since the seventies.
