A day in the life

By Shelling

Memory lane

I visited my home village today, to tend to my parents grave and do the usual walk through all the familiar places and as usual notice that nothing is the way it was anymore. A healthy observation, nothing stays the same and I’m not the same as I was.
A family member, now 86 years old, invited me for a coffe and shared her latest finds in her family research. We talked for hours about then and now, giving each other some new perspectives on our lives
The day was closed eating a lovely meal together with good friends from way back when we were twenty-something. Life has been good as well as ruff to us and re-connecting like this now and then makes it easyer to look ahead with some confidence.
