Kitchen alterations

I went to F's house early as we were doing work on F's kitchen. The aim was to remove bricks from the retaining wall and install the drainage pipe obtained here.  A few photos are in the collage but they're not in the right order.

If anyone is interested, this is what we did.

. Took everything out of kichen units. Removed them and the worktop.

. F knocked bricks from the bottom of the retaining wall (he had installed props to stop the wall collapsing).  My job was collecting bricks and rubble and taking them outside.  Also making cups of tea.

. The drainage pipe was brought inside, as it is 6m long it was a tricky job which entailed one end sitting on the sofa in his living room. It was then brought into the kitchen and put in place along the wall at an angle and out of  the hole in the wall.  We tested that water would flush through to the outside by me tipping water in.

. F bricked up the space that he'd demolished in the wall then removed one of the props.

. We put the units back with the pipe in place (there will be new units and the pipe will be boxed in). All the contents were put back.

I heated up the meal that I'd brought which we ate before I came home.

A good job done!
