London scene through the arch

Gosh, isn’t the Churchill War Rooms exhibition a fascinating challenge? So much to read, see and experience. Too much to take it all in. My brain was addled by the time we’d finished.

It needs some sort of advice on different ways to make sense of it all. There were 29 stops on the audio trail and the mammoth Churchill museum to take in.

Waterstones up at Trafalgar Square provided some respite and rejuvenation whilst looking out of the window for a blip which I duly bagged.

A late lunch/early dinner was had at the Doggest’s Coat and Arms adjacent to Blackfriars bridge. A rowdy affair with disappointing food.

We’re now in Kingston upon Thames for an extra night owing to the rail strike. The riverside here is very pleasant. Plenty of places to eat out.

A great stay at the Seacontainers Hotel. Best experience for a long time. Thank you for all the extra good wishes, stars, favourites and comments on yesterday’s anniversary blip.
