Footpaths, foliage and forage

A four-hour walk  via an abandoned church and through a remote glacial valley, wet bracken, woodland and newly-clearly footpaths (thanks Pembs CC!)

En route I found the biggest thrush's anvil I've ever seen, hazel nuts ravaged by squirrels and a nice example of mid-20th century cattle stalls in some old farm buildings.

Arrived home with wet boots and  enough windfall apples for a pie.
