A Day In The Life

Another day, another butterfly: eastern black swallowtail, female. We’ve never had such a variety of butterflies in our yard. Is it the type of summer we’re having? Is it the offerings in our yard? Or both? It’s a wonder we have any butterflies because I know the birds and digger wasps feast on their caterpillars. It’s quite a dilemma • A couple of cucumbers, a handful of little tomatoes and a whole bunch of cucamelons were harvested today :) • We made a special veggie delivery to a friend of ours this morning and did a couple of errands afterwards. Because she was working we left the bag of garden goodies in her car. MrsP used to work with her before she retired, and her husband used to help us around the yard occasionally before he unexpectedly passed a few years ago. We miss him greatly • The old shed reno is coming along VERY nicely. We’re guesstimating it will be done tomorrow unless the extreme heat drives them home early. In that case we’ll have to wait another day • Because the “special” detail we requested requires a few more weeks to finish, I’m thinking I should delay the big blip reveal until then. Does anyone feel strongly one way or the other? • Peace & Love
