Yorkshire Heather ..

On Ilkley Moor.

What better place for the week that started with Yorkshire Day.

Started the day with the early, slightly later, walk with the ladies.
A lovely sunny morning but definitely cooler, a fleece jacket was required. Nice catch up after missing a couple of weeks.

Chris cut the grass and I caught up with some ironing, then this afternoon we headed over to Ilkley, taking these shots en route.

You can just see the pink haze of the heather in the thumbnail, top left of the main picture and the other two are close ups of the heather near to where we pulled off the road. Just out of sight below the pink the are the famous Cow and Calf rocks.

Finally succumbed to go to the cinema, Ilkley is the cinema of our choice, to see Elvis. We both throughly enjoyed it, probably more than our expectation,  so glad I made the decision to go.
Had fish and chips on the way home so all in all a very good Thursday.
