Akumal day

Early start in paradise. Out on the terrace for tea and biscuits (breakfast of champions).

TallGirl walked MrB along to his diving refresher course and, once duly refreshed, they headed out to sea for a proper dive. Meanwhile CarbBoy and I lazed around in proper holiday fashion, watching frigate birds and giant crickets glide by.

We headed into town to meet the intrepid divers, then had lunch while we waited for afternoon activities - another dive for them, and snorkeling in the bay for me and CarbBoy. Although the water is rather cloudy (with wee, I imagine), we saw five turtles, a couple of stingrays and a bunch of fish.

Home for showers and a sit down (and to empty the three litres of seawater that seemed to be lodged in my sinuses) before dinner at the cafe. They always have sport on the screens, and it generally seems to be baseball!

The shot is sunrise from the terrace, and on the left you can see a boarded up guest house that Mr B thinks we might buy (everywhere we go he's always looking for building projects!)
