Well Mack, after a week of sunshine and blue skies you finally get a taste of what it's like here in February. That rain which has been haunting me in your life down in Yorkshire has finally made it here and it's cold, wet and of course windy.

Still, it's Saturday which meant you got to go to Kirkwall for the usual round of nonsense. Steven took Campbell off to swimming classes and Ruairidh took you a wander around the damp town centre. Unfortunately the wander involved you dropping in on a few folk about jobs on the go but then you also got to visit some of our lovely shops. Where you could have bought some wonderful jewellery but thankfully you were very considerate of my wallet. Instead you bought 2 bags of couscous and a packet of Munchies.

This afternoon you got on with yet more work. But managed to fit in a wee afternoon snooze (well, it is the weekend) and made some bread.

This evening you are very lucky and will be treated to watching Primeval and 4 episodes of Monkey. So you may have that bottle of Skull Splitter that you didn't get round to opening last night.

Then again you may prefer to savour, from our cellar, the last glass bottle of Irn Bru which the boys are intending to open in your honour.
