Tree and thistles

This afternoon F and I went for a walk along the lanes above the Racecourse.  There were lots of butterflies around.  I was only thinking yesterday that I hadn't seen any Peacock butterflies this year when today there must have been a dozen of them as well as whites, a Speckled Wood and Scarlet Emperors.

I liked this view of the tree and the thistle filled field that we passed on our walk.
