Curved and upright

Another hot sunny day and the usual sprint cycle class in the morning.  I then called in at a nearby shop that cut keys to get a spare key for the allotment shed.  On returning home I gave it to our neighbours who promptly tested it and came back to say it wouldn't work.  They brought it back with the padlock and I went back to the locksmith.  They refunded the money as they said they didn't have the correct shape available and couldn't even order one.  I then tried an independent one in Exmouth and once they knew the problem they found a different blank one to start with.  Problem solved and at almost half the original price.

A quiet afternoon and a wander around the garden looking for something to blip for Mono Monday with its theme of juxtaposition.  So I chose the curved seedhead of the pale golden grass against the upright sharp leaf frond of the dark phormium plant.  The grass had slipped between the frond where it had split.  Thanks to Mole for hosting.

It was then an early evening trip to water the allotment, it is certainly looking good with all the attention we are all giving it.
