Shy violets

I found these violets hiding under the more showy hyacinths in the garden. I hadn't spotted them before. I love the colour of them and they seem to have more flowers than usual on them this year.

Made the effort and cooked a nice roast lunch after church today, so we didn't eat till close on 2pm. We had a glass of wine as well and caught up on my son's day out yesterday. He had a good time and caught up with friends from Egham etc. He is pleased that one of his friends (who the stag do was for) is moving back down this way after two years in the Isle of Man. What isn't so good is that he is being made redundant. Another of his friend's wives is being made redundant too. There just seems to be so little job security these days.
