Wound up in Wexford

By Neatwithice

Well, that was fun

13 Blocks of the Month (an extra block was given in June) and I found patterns on the internet for two more blocks that complement the scheme.  The whole thing has been good for my accuracy in getting the points to come together, and in doing 1/4 inch seams.

I've now rolled them up and put them in a box with the rest of the fabric.  The box will be added to my pile of unfinished projects - and it won't come out again now till we are settled in Ireland.  The plan is sashing between the blocks and between the rows, and a cream border, and then maybe a multi-coloured outer border.  Having much improved my piecing of the blocks, the next challenge will be accurately piecing up the whole quilt, and working out the best way to quilt it.  One day - next year sometime (perhaps) - I will blip the final quilt.

W has made some progress in his workshop, but is struggling with the heat, and with a degree of "fed-up-ness" - though a phone call from our conveyancer this morning was hopeful.  We've pencilled in a date with our removal firm - but no firm commitment till we have contracts exchanged!  We've had too many delays and disappointments thus far.
