Heather and Moorland

We spent much of the day today investigating Exmoor.  It looked lovely in the sun, with large areas of purple heather.  In the afternoon we walked up to Dunkery Beacon, the highest point on the moor, for 360 degree views.

We did also drop in on Lynton and Lynmouth which fall within the Exmoor National Park. I wanted to see whether I could remember anything from my childhood visit.  I couldn't.  Suffice it to say that we enjoyed the moors much more than the towns.

My blip is the view over Porlock Bay seen from the top of Porlock Hill.
