Zebra

30 years ago, when I was working in a very prestigious bank in the West End (of London) I met my friend 'Doris'. We had nothing in common other than a love of the water - she rowed and I sailed - but we've managed to stay friends all this time. She moved to Sydney, and now Brisbane, 17 years ago.

Tonight we met up in her flat (and my tempory home when I left my husband) in Putney, which she's doing up to sell. It was quite weird going back although she and I picked up pretty much where we left off all those years ago.

She's her for another month so we will meet up again. 

The zebra was the wallpaper in the pub toilet. You know how I like these things.
