Flying

had a flying lesson today (a retirement present from my wonderful colleagues) which I took out of Lydd airport. We flew out past Canterbury , over the port of Dover (main blip) then as far as the Isle of Sheppey. On return we flew low over a wildlife park, couldn't see much from the air but I gather the animals would be under the shade of the trees, went by the Battle of Britain memorial at Capel-le-Ferne, by the Sound Mirrors and over Dungeness. It was a wonderful flight and I had the controls for most of it , except for take-off and landing and a few 'photo breaks'.
