Kingsknowes

We had a lovely get-together with Mr Flum's family over an excellent lunch at the Kingsknowes Hotel in Galashiels.

The eight of us included his cousin I from East Anglia, (whom we met recently at Pensthorpe Natural park), I is staying with friends N and R, whom we had not met before, S-i-L A (mother of the bride at the wedding),  Mr Flum's brother D and S-i-L P, all of whom we meet quite often locally.

D and P had to leave after lunch so the rest of us sat in the sunshine in the grounds to continue chatting, close to the glorious Edwardian conservatory, which is festooned with vines and a promising crop of grapes.  Near the conservatory is a white buddleia, attracting several butterflies - at one point I counted six peacocks and one red admiral.

By 4.30 we were quite well toasted so went our separate ways.
