Pearly Beauty

A gorgeous mother-of-pearl moth nectaring on a thistle this evening. The moth was in the shade so its lovely nacreous sheen isn't showing up in my image. I was so pleased to have spotted it as all bugs are few and far between in this hot dry weather.
