Grand Canyon North Rim & Navajo Bridges

****** slowly catching up with editing *****

We were leaving Kanab in the morning and had a massive plan!!

First going to Grand Canyon North Rim than backtracking to get on the road towards our next destination - Monument Valley and Mexican Hat!

The Grand Canyon is breath taking and we spent far more time there than expected ..... Well - actually it was expected but we tried anyways hehe

On the way back we stopped at Jacob Lake for their famous cookies and had a ridiculously big milk shake - which was rather a full pint bucket of ice cream ... but it was really tasty.

We then drove through the Marble Canyon and stopped at the Navajo Bridges.
The first one was built in 1929 (photo right) and the second one was built 1995.
They go over the Colorado rive - the river that had "forged" the Grand Canyon:
Very very beautiful.

Our next stop was Paige to get some food. It was already dark and late and we thought if we want to eat we need to do that now.
I had the best salad ever there - a Cobb Salad and I will be dreaming of this for a long time.
Neil was driving the last leg to Mexican Hat where we had out Motel and we arrived way after midnight.

Tomorrow we have booked a Sunrise Tour into Monument Valley .... we have to be there at 5 am ....

Blipping a Grand Canyon view and a few more - including the bridges in the extras .....

Hope you enjoy ....
