The Woodland Garden (Monday 15th August 2022)

Rain! It might not be demonstrable from this picture of the smoke tree outside the open study window but after hearing a thunderclap at 1918 hr I saw rain falling, very lightly but hopefully it will get heavier. Both garden and water-butt will be relieved, I thought. It had been thankfully cooler and a whole lot fresher all day.
Unfortunately, it didn't amount to much. The following morning it was drizzling but the water-butt level still barely covered the tap.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Sopwith Camel - Hello, Hello (1967)
I was humming along to this familiar song when I heard it on the radio and, wanting to get more details, I searched through the databases of my record collection for my own copy and discovered that I didn't have it in any format. I particularly remember the line, "Would you like some of my tangerine?", although I thought it might have been by Lovin' Spoonful, sung by John Sebastian. It turns out they shared a producer, Erik Jacobsen, and their sound was not dissimilar. It must have had some Radio One airplay in 1967 and I have probably never heard it since.
