The Woodland Garden (Tuesday 16th August 2022)

Although it has been mizzling with rain all day long, there wasn't enough for even a trickle inside the water-butt, its level seemingly unchanged. It only began to rain properly this evening as I left to walk into Calne, photographing these petunias on the way out. By the time I got back, the water-butt was half full. I won't need to do any watering tonight.

In other news, from today I seem to have new neighbours in the house where Clive and May used to live, whose garden and conservatory I see from my end study window. I'm holding my breath but so far there is no evidence of a dog or any children.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Linda Perhacs - Call of the River (1970)
Heard on Stuart Maconie's Freak Zone this weekend, this comes from Linda Perhac's album Parallelograms, recorded when she was 27. The album lay almost undiscovered until the New Weird American movement took it up in 1998.
