Wound up in Wexford

Sunrise

Red sky - promised rain - did we get any?  Just a few drops.

We slept badly again, were awake at 0500, and saw this from the bedroom window - which is why it's a phone photo - I didn't have my camera upstairs.

We spent the morning trying to make some progress in sorting out garden stuff to take into storage.  And in the afternoon W spent more time in the workshop, and I finished the Dresden plate patchwork block and then packed everything away.

We have packers arriving at 0800 in the morning.

But we still have no certainty regarding completion - in fact, they even sent YET ANOTHER question about the septic tank today.  We spoke to our conveyancer quite early, answering the question as best we could - we really have no further information about our septic tank - it works well - what more do you want?  By 1645, we'd heard nothing more.  So W rang, and she'd sent off our response to the question and heard nothing back - but hadn't seen fit to chase it up.  We warned her that we were concerned this was another buyer getting very late onset cold feet.  Her response - "oh no, I realise it's stressful, but it's all going to be fine."  I'm not sure we believe her.  She wanted us to ring her again tomorrow morning to "plan our next step" - what is the point of that?  W eventually seems to have got across to her that she needs to contact the buyers' conveyancer first thing, and make clear our concerns that we are no longer convinced that they are serious about purchasing our house.  How long do we leave it before we pull the plug?

W is currently pottering around tidying the drawers in his desk, putting stuff that he wants to take with us in the car into a box, so the rest can go into storage - I can't get up the enthusiasm

More phone calls and stress tomorrow!
