Hanbury Hall

We met Maureen and Ian at Hanbury Hall, the National Trust property near Droitwich.   We had a little look around the formal gardens then through Snobs Tunnel to The Stables  Cafe at the back of the building.  The main cafe is still closed due to extensive reconstruction. Luckily we settled at a table with a large covering umbrella as shortly afterwards the heavens opened and we had a tremendous shower of rain, real, heavy rain for about fifteen to twenty minutes, just what the ground needed.  We stayed put, and dry, at our table with our coffees, though at one point Ian needed to brave the weather to visit the loo across the courtyard, there's a snap of him returning in the extras, I think he's doing a rain-dance!

My main picture is a pollen ladened bee in a flower in the ground's gardens.  A candidate for Tiny Tuesday, this month hosted by dbifulco.
