We went into Central Auckland late morning for a meeting. Despite a dire weather forecast we managed to get into and out of the city without seeing any precipitation.

I managed a couple of hours’ work after a lateish lunch and so the day flew by again. We managed to get across to spend some time with Mum before supper.

The weather in the South Island is absolutely dreadful. One area at the “top of the South” has had over 200mm in the last 24 hours and there’s still more to come. Apparently it’s caused by a “river of rain” in the sky. Lots of homes have had to be evacuated yet again.

We walked past the unusual bench seats on our way between buses and thought they’d be a good subject for a blip.
