Another Sunset

I just can’t resist posting another sunset shot tonight.  We left Broome early this morning after doing a quick shop for provisions, filling up the water tank, visiting the Information Centre and other housekeeping chores! Our destination today was Lombadina on the Dampier Peninsula. As soon as we drove into the community we both felt a sense of calm and we have without a doubt had the most placid day at this inspiring place.  We started out walking over the sand dunes to the beach to watch the sunset and hadn’t gone very far before we were offered a lift by one of the family members Tony.  We were more than happy to share the back seat with his very lovely dog, Kimba :). It’s a good 1km walk over the dunes which can be pretty tough going.  That lift was very welcome and the last thing we expected was for an Uber driver to be heading out at the same time as us ))). It was a very joyful experience for sure and we were delighted to see so many members of the community gathering on the beach to watch the sunset.  They are a very happy and contented bunch and that is what I remember impressed me when I visited here over 20 years ago.

I’m really thrilled at the response to my silhouette blip in Broome yesterday.  Thanks so much for all the hearts and stars that were showered on the post.  I don’t often take quirky images but this scene was screaming out to be blipped :)
