Monsoon Weather

An old barn stood here for many years and right from when we moved in there was a notice on it saying "Danger". It was two stories high and every time there was a storm the odd plank or roofing sheet blew off.
The old barn and accompanying old house were bought by a young man who is part of a family building company. The old house was demolished and a new one built (seen in the background here). A few years later they took down the barn.
In spring there were sounds of activity. Large machines flattened and organised the land. Concrete foundations appeared at the start of the summer and a carpenter made the gable ends of the roof. Now scaffolding has been set up.
We think a storage building, a new barn, is coming but we await developments...
This picture was taken in one of the more benign moments today. For most of the day torrents of rain fell. The garden is now well-watered, but a little battered.
(Update - 22 Aug - the new "barn" is now up. Perhaps another blip later?)
