Survivor

Most things in the garden either suffered greatly in the heat and lack of rain or have gone over much more quickly than they did last summer but this aquilegia is having a second wind of a couple of flowers at least. The roses have a few flowers on and the Japanese anemone has taken its time to flower but is now showing off its best side. A significant amount of rain at the end of last week and it still being warm means that there was a few blip options in the garden today. 

The day started with a birthday call to Mum who has a significant birthday today. Bailey donned a birthday hat for the occasion but couldn't be encouraged to stir himself. He did come for a walk once the birthday call was over and was pleased to see the bestest friend in passing. 

Home to do a few work jobs and wait for a couple of deliveries. On a bit of a go slow today but tomorrow will be more purposeful with a trip into work in the afternoon and a plan to get some things done in the morning.
