Living in Brabant

Sing

This is a photo of Regine. She was pumelling her fists on the floor and having a temper tantrum at the time. Why did was she doing this? Because she didn't want to go back to Tilburg* :)

Earlier on in the day, she came to pick me up, we had brunch together, listened to Bob Marley and played with Igor, then set off cycle to a village called Hilvarenbeek, to go and visit her step-mother.
Once there we photographed the dogs, took them for a walk, drank tea and ate biccies with her step-mum.

Then it was time to go back to Tilburg...... to prise Regine off the ground I promised a beer on the way. She moved quickly then :)

Once back in TILBURG, we had dinner at her sister's home, (together with her sister's husband and four children). I got to tickle her niece's lovely feet again and stroke her soft, little hands. It was a rather lovely, family-orientated day out.

After dinner, the pair of us set off into town to join the annual (pre-Queen's day) festivities known as Tilburg Zingt (sings).
It's the 10th anniversary, and my first time there; with the aid of a large choir, hundreds of people (whose voices are thickly lubricated on beer), 43 songs are sung. Oh, and for a week beforehand, people complain about the price of beer. It's par for the course....

When I left the concert, everyone was in high spirits, the mood was fun and friendly. As I type this, I can hear ''Sweet Caroline" in the distance. The songs, are a mixture of Dutch and English and the last song will be ''You'll never walk alone".
*Clicks on cigarette lighter, waves arms in the air, and sings*.

Sing, sing a song
Sing out loud
Sing out strong
Sing of good things not bad
Sing of happy not sad.

Sing, sing a song
Make it simple to last
Your whole life long
Don't worry that it's not
Good enough for anyone
Else to hear
Just sing, sing a song.

*Regine didn't really have a tantrum, btw. I kept teasing her that I'd blip about it :)
