Planning Ahead And Repairs

The rain has been steadily falling for most of last night and this morning. It is most welcome.

For several days I have been trying to obtain a new immersion heater for our original hot water tank. The process was rather hindered by the recalcitrant computer system used by the manufacturer of the tank.

However, today had been established and the part was ready for collection at the factory in Glenrothes.

After collection we drove back home and on the way explored a road we had missed out. We came across a very unusual house in the middle of ‘nowhere’.

Subsequent searches on ordnance survey, Apple Maps and Google provided no further information. No name. No links.

A mystery.

We decided to have lunch out and made for Jamesfield. Farm Shop and Garden Centre. The food and service is always very good.

Afterwards we drove back along the North Fife coastal route which overlooks the Firth of Tay.

We stopped in at Lindores Abbey Distillery. Pat is arranging a surprise celebration for a close friend and made enquiries regarding the ‘Apothecary’ events.

The distillery is a whisky distillery; a rather modern one recently established. The ruins of Lindores Abbey are hidden by the trees in the photographs.

There is a link between the brewing history of the Abbey and the new distillery,

Thereafter we made for home.

After the last few chaotic and busy days, I am now up to date with my Blipfoto entries.

I now will check out the entries of all the people that I follow which is always interesting.
