The Inevitable Consequence

Following on from the Val McDermid presentation in St Andrews about her new novel titled ‘1989’ it was inevitable that we should purchase the previous book in the series titled ‘1979’.

I could have bought it on the day, however, the queue was quite long and could be something of a Covid risk.

However, Amazon came to the rescue, and delivered the required book today.

1979 was first published in 2021. Following that timetable 1999 might be published in 2023. 2009 in 2024 and 2019 in 2025.

Another day of rain which meant I could not work in the garden.  The rain has been a steady rain and already the grass is greening up. Slightly wilted bushes are also looking more lively.
