A 'Royal' Welcome

Had a visit to another sponsor of the Homes for Ukraine' Scheme today, on the 6th Month anniversary of the invasion.  It is incredibly sad that this war still continues.

I came across this unexpectedly, just as I was turning into the track up to the property being offered as a safe haven.  I did wonder what the Ukrainian guest might think of this when she arrived.

In the late afternoon it was a game of golf at Sandwell Valley.  It sits adjacent to junction 1 M5, as well as the Hawthorns, home to West Bromwich Albion.  Despite that it is a little oasis of nature, even if the constant noise of the motorway was never far away.  Unfortunately, a persistent rain started as we headed down the first fairway and didn't abate throughout the round.  Ah well, we can't say we don't need it as the Environment Agency declared the West Midlands another drought area today.
